Very interesting but there are some things about the design that IMHO is a problem with this AIO design. Snow piling up on top could block the solar/UV sensor. The specs say vibration can affect the rain measurement so it needs a solid mount. Blowing rain could possibly affect it. It won't detect misty rainy either. What about freezing rain/sleet ? Rain buckets will still collect and measure with either a heater or when the ice thaws. I didn't see any mention of a local console (I may have missed it) but you need a cellphone to see your data. So you can't see your conditions without whipping out your phone. You have to send them your data and then pull it down. What guarantee they won't go belly up in the future? There is another company like them that recently shuttered. It does work with home automation but that seems to be it's only big feature. Compared to Davis.. you have your data local and can send to multiple sources, local console(s), third party add-ons, repairability (don't have to send in the whole station for a component failure), faster update times, more reliable transmission with spread spectrum. You will pay more for a Davis and this is a plug and play device but there are things that make it an average station that the Davis and others exceed it. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for your observations.. Since I'm living in the Philippines now, Snow won't be a problem  :) I think I can live without a local console as I'm use to using my website and the built in server in the Nano SD for data.. although a console would be nice as well. I absolutely love the software some of our members provide for the Davis and I actually have the Nano SD here with me. I'm looking for some real life experiences with this unit before I can decide.

You mentioned you like weather software that is available for other weather stations. Have you checked to see if they will work with this station? Or will this only upload to their system? Also did you check the sampling intervals?? 3 seconds for wind and 1 minute for everything else while the Davis is 2.5 and 10 seconds. Also what happens if some part fails? You'd have to send in the whole station for repair while with others you replace the failed part.

What it comes down to is you have to decide what you want to see with the weather (longer sampling rates means you might miss changes), how much you want to spend, and is there support and how serviceable it is. Like I said there is another former company that had a station like this and they shutdown. The equipment is now orohaned. They have only been around since 2019. On their website there are no customer reviews..in 3 years. Not a good sign. Your location would be better served by an established manufacturer (Davis/Accurite/Ecowitt/etc.).

Looks like the same WF Tempest that's been around since summer 2020 to me.  The previous generation Air+Sky has been around since early 2019.

I don't understand the 'for commercial use' reference but perhaps it has to do with folks wanting to use their AI-driven forecasts for commercial (not personal) purposes.   I seem to recall a couple folks doing weather for TV stations etc. setting stations up a their work.

There are many (tens) of thousands of them in the field by now so they're well understood.  There's a very good weewx driver for it, and I think it's also supported by other software.
