Title: Problem with WF install
Post by: Strgazr27 on August 13, 2009, 01:15:08 PM
After spending about 5 hours last night trying to get my WF back up and running I gave up. I am using the same Domain name I registered with. I took all the same files that were sent to me to start and followed the install I thought to a T. I copied over the new Key file and changed the PHP scripts as well as renamed them. I can get the data to show but I cannot remove the "Evaluation Copy" logo. I have sent a message to them but remember from last time the communication was not the "speediest". Just curious if you guys had any ideas.

Thanks!

Bobby

check the key.txt. there could be a non visible carriage return and/or line feed character to the end of the data string.

Lars,

I opened the KEY file in notepad, scrolled to just after the last character and backspaced till I reached the end of the key and than saved it. Is this a good way to do it?

Thanks!

also try uploading as binary and not as ascii, that key file
and yes that CR/LF at the end can be a problem (ideally its best to edit on a linux server from a command line to avoid that I guess)

Well I found out I had the wrong key and was sent a new one :) Works great BUT......I can only log in as Ambient/User and not with my user ID. I thought I had all the scripts figured out but maybe not. I'll keep trying.

You should be able to change the user and PW. when you are logged in. If i don't remember wrong.
The user ID is just for the script, nothing to do with the log in.

You are absolutely right Tor, at the top of the menu you can change the password and userid.

Bobby

You had the wrong key because you supplied us with the wrong domain information!
