BloomSky current status
« on: June 10, 2022, 07:22:46 PM »
My BloomSky has worked since putting it up over 4 years ago.  My question does anyone know if they are still in business?  The reason I ask is they do not answer support emails, my timelapses are no longer done and as far as I can tell no one else's either and the stations I have favorites are gone.
Anybody got a clue for me?

Same thing here on my BloomSky.  My picture has not updated for two days, I also sent email to support with no answer. Think it’s time for mine to go into garbage. Wish I could download the camera data direct to my computer.

I think Bloomsky have gone bust or at least ceased trading, and therefore much of their services have been switched off.  Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any clear information from them on their Facebook or Website.  Great shame.  If anyone has a way to access the latest image that would be amazing.  My app is updating its image, but I can't find a way to access that image.

My App data and image seem to be out of date.

No images on BloomSky Data Portal but text and graph is up to 06/09/2022 10:15 pm so stopped after Thursday and Map View seems to be the same BloomSky | Komoka, CA - Realtime weather and picture with daily timelapse!

Enjoy,
Paul

Is your BloomSky time right?  Mine is an hour behind.  It's like they never updated after the change in  spring.

@dfisherows
In the App I think the image is from another day and in the weather table it looks like an hour behind but then several minutes late.
On bloomsky.com I'd say nothing has updated since last week.

It has been a nice toy for over 6 years now, and zilch maintenance (except rubbing the camera sensor in the winter to remove the ice or snow).

Enjoy,
Paul

can anyone log into the dashboard from a computer anymore or have they gone strictly mobile.  I just tried and got failing creds (which I know is not the case since I can log out/in on mobile).

My images and timelapses have started failing uploads to the server but the temp is still feeding.

The hardware is fine.  I'm hoping someone smart in the community can reverse engineer the payload so we can spoof the servers and keep the hardware/data flowing.

It looks like my Bloomsky is connected (as least the app said so when I did the reconnect) as the temp is still showing (correct?) on my app.  It's the pic that has stopped updating.

A few minutes ago I was able to see a number of stations on the App map, including mine (have to zoom in to get it to show).  And looks like the data is updated (was at 11:24 am and updating to 11:28 however that is an hour behind our EST).  Clicking on it says OFFLINE and the images are old.

A couple of weeks ago I found info on the Chinese firm that has taken it over.  I sent them an inquiry but haven't received a reply.

No reply at all.
However there appears to be some changes on BloomSky - The Story of Your Sky | Home site which has
An Portfolio Company
including a link to portfolio | IDG Capital and which shows Bloomsky as one of their products.

Maybe coming back?

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi,
I have been a Bloomsky user since February 2016  https://map.bloomsky.com/weather-stations/gqBxp6apnJSnoJim  and my device has continued without interruption until recently.  I can no longer sign in to my Bloomsky account BloomSky Portal Login.  Will this be restored to full capability?
Thank you,

Hello Paul,
I am sorry but we are not able to answer BloomSky queries. Kantian Tech is only cooperating with BloomSky in its Chinese businesses. We buy SKY and STORM sets from BloomSky and sell them to government and organisations in China. We are ready to answer any questions you may have for devices installed inside the territory of China. But if you are using the devices in countries other than China, please contact the BloomSky support team (support@bloomsky.com) instead.

My one Bloomsky still sits on the fence and shows on my WiFi as an offline device, and the other in the surplus bin.

Enjoy,
Paul

for a while they were using the Amazon servers.  Maybe they can help.  I doubt it but it is worth the try.

I got rid of my camera long ago, it had issues, Bloomsky refused to offer suggestions.  I thought if I used it as a T-ball target, but just tossed it away
