Is there a way to verify your readings? #-o

Or should I remove my anemometer  and hold it outside the car window while traveling at 65MPH.

I wish there was a way to calibrate the numbers on the console.  I have two consoles(one for VWS, one in the family room) and one set of sensors.

You set the gain in VWS... That way, the data going out is correct. There is no gain offeset for the console.

Yes, I was aware of that, but who knows perhaps others are not. :-)

The value I have seen on the old forum was 1.25... That is what I have mine set to and that seems to be correlating well with other units....

I remember reading somewhere..may have been in the VWS manual about the wind speed correction and It seems it mentioned what Jim is saying and maybe somewhere else it mentioned if there are
trees obstructing the wind flow that a offset of 2 may help correct that.  My location is well blessed with trees, which I am working on getting rid of, so I settled on a +2 offset.
My wind speeds seem more realistic after that adjustment..

Glad you are getting everything closer to back up running 100% ! It is sure a bummer when the very thing you are monitoring takes out your ability to monitor it
