Title: Mac Software for Davis Stations
Post by: Aardvark on May 22, 2016, 11:51:40 AM
What kind of torques me off is that I have a mac,  I have no software that will connect with the VP2 Console via the IP link that will allow me to make changes to that station.   there is software that works with the USB and WeatherDisplay will download data from the Weatherlink site, but to actually be able to connect to the station as that can be done as with the PC, nada.

Davis has no interest in improving its software for the MAC.   That is today's bur in my saddle and no, I can't write my own code.

How often do you actually need to make changes to the station, and what are those changes? You could use a telnet program and type the commands yourself.

I want to change some transciever settings, adjust the calibrations.  No,  I am not able to use the telenet, it has been 40 years since I have done that. I would screw up things.
