Our AcuRite 6045M lightning detector that came with the AcuRite 5-in-1 Weather Station is not working. No lightning strikes, no lightning distance, nothing. Tried removing the sensor from the AcuRite 6088M display and inserting it again, it still won’t show the green light on the sensor even with the batteries in. The batteries are fine, but the lightning detector is still not working. What are the causes of the lightning detector not working and how can we fix it?

I do not know if it is under warranty or not.

Did you try selecting a different channel (A,B,C). There's a switch inside of the lightning detector. And make sure the display is looking for the same channel setting.

I will try selecting a different channel tonight or tomorrow, and see if it fixes the problem.
