I think Mauro has jumped the gun a little bit on this....

Hopefully Lucy wont mind me sharing this...
The intention is to provide a cabled option to connect the WS-80 ultra-sonic anemometer to a mains PSU to provide a power source for the heater element for those that live in a less temperate climate.
Alternative battery/solar type stand-a-lone style solutions are also being investigated as its recognised that not all will want to or can provide power to the anemometer even with a 20M (66feet) extension cable during the winter months!
The design parameters of the product suggest that below -3C and a combination of icing will render the product unable to function correctly without heating the transducers.
Please be aware though that this is still early days for this product.

Ecowitt.net has been playing up for over a week now.

It's become so slow. The graphs rarely load and I keep getting the network timeout message all of the time and it gets stuck at 'reported download.
Avatars are also broken.

I also keep getting repeated graphs - temp/humidity modules are being shown twice.

I just checked my stations and loads and works fine!  Did your internet connection change?

Same occurrences using mobile data too.

Avatars are broken. I tried uploading a new one, nothing happens.

For me the graphs are fine, but the site is slower than usual and the avatar is broken.

Yes, in Ecowitt.net go to Menu / Devices / Add Device. Each device gets added with its own name, location, time zone, and MAC address.

Now if you are going to have two GW1000 at the same location where they both can see the same sensors then that presents some challenges.

Now if you are going to have two GW1000 at the same location where they both can see the same sensors then that presents some challenges.

Why does it present a challenge?
You can have as many as you want on your Ecowitt.net account and you just select the one you want to see data from via the top selector.
The GW-1000 or HP2551 consoles (with the latest firmware) for that matter can be treated independently and each configured to look at which sensors you want and that can then be viewed in the ecowitt.net. website or on the ws-view app

I have precisely this setup as I help test various things for Ecowitt

It presents a challenge in the same location because sensor IDs can change without your knowledge. Like on low battery situation. Also although I've not fully tested this next bit, I've noticed that on power outage the consoles will poll for whatever sensors it finds. Making it so that any previously acquired sensor IDs are automatically relearned. Makes it challenging and cumbersome is all I'm saying, but not impossible. I do now see that you can specify a sensor ID in the GW1000 configuration. Does that stick through power outages? If yes then perhaps the situation is better than I thought. Must be new firmware feature.

For the GW-1000 I can confirm that the sensor ID choice selection does stick.
This capability has just been added as a new settings screen in the HP2551 and presumably WS-2000 firmware so that you can choose which sensors you want to use if you have multiple options and this should be sticky as well.

Good to know. Thank you. Perhaps I'll eventually get this new firmware on my WS-2000. I don't like to be the guinea pig, so I usually wait a bit before upgrading. But I definitely upgrade quick when the release notes address an issue that was affecting my use needs.

I've now got some of my Ecowitt station's data showing on my main site, provided by Cumulus MX: https://warehamwx.co.uk/

It may take 30 seconds to load, as that's the time I have set within MX to upload new data. All of the other data is being inserted in to SQL databases which I will display with graphs, eventually.

Do any of the Ecowitt stations have a fan aspirated outdoor temp sensor? If not, what methods are being used to mitigate the temp spikes? Do you use a passive aspirator or just try to find the shadiest spot on your site?

I have been following and occasionally participating in this forum for about 3 years, but I still don't own a PWS. I have been waiting for Acurite to release the Atlas Elite, but if they don't have any public announcement by next spring, I am going to give up on them and just go with an Ecowitt station. My problem is that I don't have a good location for the outdoor temp sensor that is shaded all day and within the wireless receiving range. I suppose I could go with something like the Acurite Atlas where all the sensors are integrated into one unit, but that also is not ideal for my siting. I think I would rather go with something like the Ecowitt GW1002, but am not sure what to do about the outdoor temp sensor. Any suggestions?

:? If an all-in-one doesn't meet your sitting requirements, what will? It's as basic as one can get and still have a PWS.

Ok, you make a point. I will need to think that thru some more. I didn't especially like the idea of having the anemometer in the same location as the rain bucket and temp sensor, but maybe I need to reconsider that. I know in a small half acre yard with lots of trees around the entire perimeter and full sun near the house in the wireless range nothing is perfect.

In any case, I would still like to hear about how people are handling the outdoor temp sensor aspiration or siting on the Ecowitt stations like the GW1002.
