Dear all:
We have updated the ecowitt.net just now!
1. Display the daily max/min value on the Dashboard.
2. Add timestamp for the max/min value on the graph.

Please let us know your feedback! (we'll reply after the weekend)

Perfect! For me, at least.

I'm also pleased that the 'daily'  graphs are set by default. Great update!

Yes wonderful update.

+1 for the default daily view instead of 24 hour.

One, I would still prefer to have an app for it as opposed to viewing it in my browser.  In my opinion that just simplifies it and makes it easier for me.

If you are using Android there is a very simple easy way to add an icon on your home screen that will pretty much act like any other app icon.

- in Chrome load up Ecowitt.net (I suggest telling the login to remember your password)
- go to 3 dot menu on top right
- select Add to Home Screen
- confirm action to add icon
- look for new icon on your home screen

Many apps that you use are really nothing more than a browser inside of a simple app shell. These are call wrapper apps. Because all they do is access the web and the app is not much more than just wrapping the browser engine into an app for access.

Perhaps there is a way to do this on iOS also. I don't have my test iOS device with me to look now.

Quote

Two; I'd love an option to display a single value for each sensor.  For example, if I want to see current conditions I currently have a graph to look at the last 24hrs or daily.  It's a bit difficult to see the actual current condition at a glance.  Maybe an option to display the current reported values only?  Or if you want to see the monthly Max values, or annual or whatever, have the option for just that value without the graph. If there is a way to do this that I'm missing please let me know.

What your are asking for is like a Summary Report to the stated period. You want to see a report of max/min and total rainfall for the time frame selected in a nice simple table. For daily it pretty much is the boxes for each sensor at the top of the page. We have that for daily. What we don't have is the tally of weekly, monthly and yearly (and custom) without looking at the graph stamps. The graph stamps don't address total rainfall nor do I see how they could, so the Summary Report could show that.

I'll give that a try.  I would still prefer a simple current reading to the graph.  I find it difficult to see current conditions in the graph.  At least on the phone.  That's the other thing an app could address, optimized for phone screens.  The website is fine, but an app send like it would be much smoother and easier to view.  If u was savvy enough i would attempt it, but I'm not much for that sort if thing.

I don't understand this comment. The current conditions are there in all the individual squares for each sensor. The graphs are below all these current conditions squares.

That's not how mine displays.  I've been looking for a setting to change it.

What brand and model mobile phone are you using?
What is version of the operating system on phone?
What browser are you using on the phone? That doesn't look like Chrome.

Actually that does look like Chrome. You just have the homepage setting turned on and I don't. But that shouldn't change the outcome.

What is your model Ecowitt console?

Nevermind I see you have a HP2551.

Scroll up on that page. No individual sensors?
If not then something is up. Contact Ecowitt.

After the update my Ipad screen seemed stuck on the graphs, and I couldn’t scroll up to the current conditions tiles.  But after refreshing the screen a few times, the problem cleared up.

I swear I've refreshed that page 1000 times.  Decided to refresh after reading your post and now I'm getting current conditions!  Thanks, I really just though it was the software!

This all seems quite nice! Just confirm: if I receive my GW-1000, will it be able to send my 2902A Osprey Sensor data to ecowitt.net? Because I'd love to have a dashboard like that as well!

- I do not like default daily graph. Maybe it should be a user option?
- I think there is a issue with time. Sometimes graph uses 24 hour (I prefer this, Denmark) and other times 12 hour are used. Newly added timestamp for max/min always uses 12-hour. Maybe also a user option?

Regards

Actually that does look like Chrome.

In Chrome, just click on the 3 vertical radio buttons at the RHS of the tab and check the tick box for 'Desktop Site' and then it should look fine.  Then save that as a link on the phone home screen.

Well that works for me anyway.

Yes, just be sure the frequency matches. If it is a real Ambient then the frequency is 915 MHz.

Thanks! I'll make sure to check that it matches that Freq.

Hi, sorry to hear that. Users may be able to set the default display for graph or time format in the future. But it'll take a long time to do that. We'll let you know when  that'll be possible.:-)

Lucy, I really like the website feature.  A couple of observations;

If there is a way to do this that I'm missing please let me know.

Agreed. Already contacted Lucy about an app and she tolds me they´re working on it

The "sumary" would also be a nice feature

I find it interesting that the Fine Offset ultrasonic wind meter has been given the name WS80
There is already another with the same name, made by Simrad. It sells for around $4000.

....and Ambient Weather used the name WS-2000 when Rainwise already had this as a weather station model many years prior.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think it just depends on the companies. I think Rainwise could have come after Ambient Weather for this snafu...but they didn't for whatever reason.

That is always not the case. Ever wonder why Apple called their smart watch an "Apple Watch" and not an iWatch? So Apple knew better but they still decided to cheat with SEO (search engine optimization)
