Sensor 6 with the Ambient WS-7078 model - what is it?
« on: July 04, 2022, 08:55:17 AM »
Hello,

I own two Ambient weather stations, the 2902 model which I've had for four years and works flawlessly and the 7078 model. It also has had no problems in the almost two years I have owned it. I bought it when I believe it first came out and now it is no longer being offered by the company. I like that it comes with a nice little stand which was perfect for where I mounted it. It offers the same functionality as the 2902 and was $50 less when I purchased it. I attached a photo of it.

Okay. Here's my question. Recently, a new measurement showed up on my dashboard called a Sensor 6 with temperatures over 200 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity extremely low, like 6%. I attached a screenshot of it. Everything else seems to work fine. Does anyone know what this is about?

As there isn't a lot of information on that model, I would recommend contacting Ambient Weather support.

Otherwise you could try doing a reset of the console and reconfigure it.  It could take a little time for the sensor to disappear from the dashboard.

You could also choose to ignore the spurious sensor by removing the item from displaying on the dashboard.
