Bloomsky *might* be working again.
« on: June 02, 2025, 01:15:20 PM »
I bought one of the Sky models from ebay for ten bucks a couple of years ago. I knew they were dead, but I wanted to see if I could do anything at all with the device. I soon lost interest though and put it in my weather tub.
I was cleaning my office today and found it, so I plugged it in, updated the app on my test phone, and tried to set it up. It worked. Before, I was only able to get to the connecting to wi-fi part. It would connect, then that's as far as it went, today it finished the process and is showing some data and images.
The temp is spot on, but the barometer is reading low.

I'm going to charge the battery all the way, then set it up outside and see how well the solar panel does and if it continues to work.

{EDIT} https://nubila.ai/ seems to be who bought them out. Not sure how it all connects or if there is any support for the older devices at all, since Nubila has their own device.
