How to keep pws id in wunderground when adding new weather station?

I have a PWS ID and do not want to lose it. How do I add a new station using same ID?

If you are replacing existing equipment with something new, and not moving to a new location, its pretty easy.

I have changed weather station hardware at Weather Underground and kept the same Station ID. Just turn off the old station sending data and turn on the new station sending data. Use the same ID, and you will need to know your WU "key", which can be found in your WU account, Member settings, then "My devices". Put the Station ID and the Key into the new hardware setup.

Thanks for the info!  I can use the same Key, even though the old Station went through Acurite Access?

I haven't used Acurite equipment myself.

As far as I know, WU doesn't care what equipment you use. As long as the data format is correct (StationID and Key are the first two fields) it should work.

Thanks for the help, I got everything working and decided to have two Stations running until one of them dies!!
