Welcome to Iowa
« on: June 01, 2018, 05:33:17 PM »
Not only do we get high temperatures but high levels of ozone.  That probably explains why my asthma/lungs are not happy today.  Dr. gave me a new inhaler, and I am hiding inside with the air purifiers going.  Originally only Louie the spaniel had one, then I put one in the familyroom  because of the wool dust, (we are rug hookers) and now in the bedroom.   Good furnace filters.

One thing we say in Iowa, "If you don't like the weather, do not worry. It will change soon"   Tomorrow heavy rain and thunderstorms, dropping down into the upper 80s.  Mosquitoes are awful

It is not any better over here in the Cedar Rapids area Aardvark. Mosquitoes, gnats and ticks are driving me crazy this spring.

Wow, Iowa is even worse than Oklahoma for this time of year.  High temps may make it over 100 here for the first time this year on June 12, though.

In Oklahoma City it turned out April was 2nd coldest, while May was 2nd warmest.
