What is the max Avatar size?
Dimensions?
File size?
Search the site...nothing.

I don't know what the maximum limits are, but mine is 96 pixels x 96 pixels, and 3.7kB. Its my understanding that is a pretty common size and should work for you here, and likely elsewhere too.

Usually forums set a standard for this, but could not find that info.
Server space, bandwidth, but I did not want to over do it.

... see post #3 where he says 200x200 pixels but its not clear whether  he speaks with the voice of authority.

I see his current avatar is 118pixels x 120 pixels and 5.1kB.

Did a search, mostly php related.
This link seems reasonable for this (did not want to assume!), been a member with many forums over the years.
Try to be respectful of the rules.

Was not sure about the aspect 1:1,(others sightly higher), have some images in mind to use, a bit wider.

The Avatar settings are 120x120px max.

The file size doesn't matter, only the 120px wide by 120px height matters.  You can always use free software like Paint.NET to crop/resize to 120x120px for an uploaded avatar.

I'm resizing a UHD image, wanted to make sure about the file size.
I use Affinity Photo.
