Topic: wunderground wordpress help please

Hi,
I have done a lot of basic wordpress stuff, but never shortcodes or anything.
I installed the wunderground plugin, and was hoping everything should just work.
I haven't don a widget, I tried but that doesn't weem to have any settings to alter or tell it which station, so I am equally lost with that. I haven't done any php or anything because I believe the wunderground install does it all doesn't it?

I set the weatherstation up and it feeds into wunderground and shows on the android app fine, but I get a fatal error on the page when I put this in as a shortcode on my website page.

 [wunderground location="IBEDFO167" numdays="5" layout="simple"]

I put the brackets and "" in on the website shortcode, I presume that is correct.
I also tried the word forecast instead of wunderground but the same. the O in BEDFO is an O not a zero, I checked that.

If I can just get something to show I can work from there.
If anyone can tell me what code they are using I can hopefully work from there.
I really need help for the sailing club. Thanks.

They told me it no longer works. I am surpised it is still available as a wordpress plugin.

Mine stopped working so I simply linked to my weather stations logo banner using Anole's script downloadable from https://saratoga-weather.org/scripts-legacy.php#anole and put that on my Wordpress blog.

Hi Ian,
on your website you have the current weather observations from your station, which is exactly what I am trying to do.
How did you do that please ?

Hi Andrew,

Do you have the logo script on your site currently, if not, that's the first part as once this is working getting Wordpress to show this straightforward.

Instructions on how to download and install are within the script box, if it helps I can send you my wxgraphic folder so you can see how mine is created, (I use meteobridge rather than weather display but it works ok).

I would be grateful for whatever help you can give.
I am not sure what you mean about logo script.

but websites are all just simple wordpress, I haven't played with php or shortcodes or anything.
Any pointers on what I should be doing or learning about would be a great help.

Hi,

Ok I have made some assumptions, your existing weather station which sends data to Weather Underground (IBEDFO167), is that using a computer?

If no computer, then the scripts I've been referencing are of no use, however, not as good as your own data, but you could download a weather plugin and use the nearest station available.

Hi Ian,
it is an ACCUR8 station and it sends the data direct to wunderground.
We could just show weather from the location but the club seem to want to see their own data,
but maybe they will have to live with it.

You could try sending your date to Weathercloud which is supported by the ACCUR8 and then grab the image to display on a wordpress page.
