-1 Dew Point
« on: August 25, 2023, 11:07:13 AM »
It appears this is still an on-going issue for the internal software. I have three loggers at three different locations. One being the original beta version and the other two being WiFiLogger 2. Several times a week, it will upload to Weather Underground and PWS Weather a -1.0 dew point reading. It happens for all three locations, so it cannot be the location or station. I have two Vues and one VP2. This obviously isn't the end of the world, more just an annoyance.

I use a WFL 2 and have had the issue with -1 dew points and WU for years. It has been persistent throughout firmware updates, including the current 2.42. In fact, I just purchased a new one because the original finally crapped out after 5 years with firmware v 2.43 and it has the same problem. I presume this is an enduring problem that does not have an easy solution but if anyone knows what's going on, or has found a way to fix this, I've love to know.

It's a programming issue for WiFi Logger. I never had this issue before I started using WFL. It's not the end of the world, but if we're shooting for accuracy, this should be addressed. This also shows on PWS Weather.

If you switch the dew point ‘units' in "Weather Station Setup" from “Console” to “Calculation”, this issue will be resolved.

I never see any instance of this.

Does this only apply if using Fahrenheit units?

I have never seen this either but my unit is set to calculation .
Since DP is calculated I wonder what the difference is, if any, between the console and calculation option is. Also is the calculation option a product of the logger?
