Hi Mandrake, the function for our wifi weather station(including HP2551) to upload to customized server(having the same protocol with ecowitt.net or weather underground) is available on the app now.

Wow that sounds great! Can't wait to test it!

Hi Lucy, a WS view app bug report: When selecting the link "Register at ecowitt.net" it takes you to ambientweather.net instead.

The operation is also very simple:
7. Press Register at ecowitt.net and finish the registration on the page.

Any question, please let us know.:)

Best Regards,
Lucy from ecowitt

Hi Lucy

Will this new option also work with the WH2910C?

Do you have more documentation about this option? Weather station is not contacting .php script.

Hi droiddk

Yes, it works with the WH2910C.
It only supports uploading to server with the same protocol type as the Wunderground or ecowitt.net.
Does your server meet the requirement?

Best Regards,
Lucy

P.S. We may reply your new messages after the weekend. Hope you can understand that. Thank you.:)

Hi Lucy

Wunderground protocol is running now.

Can your engineer supply documentation for the Ecowitt protocol? That would be great.

I have spotted on the ecowitt dashboard that you can set up email alerts for certain weather preferences.. is there any plans to set up push notifications to mobile devices, perhaps?

I only ever use email when I am at my PC, I uninstall email apps on my phones.

Hi Mapantz,

Yes, we have the plan to set up push notifications to mobile devices and we'll create a new app only for ecowitt in the future.
But it'll take a long time and we could not tell you the specific time.
Hope you can understand that.
Thank you.:)

Hi Lucy

I just want to use the new customized upload to put the data from my weather station (WH2902) into my own system, guess that is why the option has been added in the first place.

I can easily put something, like my domain, into WS View, but I need to know what is expected server side to be able to grab the data. So far I know that customized upload using Ecowitt procotol is contacting http://www.xxxxxxxx.net/data/report with a HTTP Post request.

I will contact you at that email address.

Is anyone else having an issue with their GW1000 reporting to WU? Mine will keep dropping WU but still report to ecowitt.net without missing a report. I am also reporting to WeatherCloud without an issue.

Using the WSView app, I switched to my WH2320E to report to WU and it is working fine. However, I noticed that the WSView app does not show my WU station now (I did update my firmware May 20, 2019).

Yes, I have noticed that the WS View app is not showing the WU data.
I have checked the WeatherUnderground data on the WU webpages and all looks OK, so the Weather console and GW-1000 are both still reporting to WU, its just the app that seems broken.
Live data from the GW-1000 is also OK.
I have not had a chance yet to e-mail Lucy.

This is a WU issue. WU has turned off the old history access. It affecting a lot of other things like breaking a lot of personal weather websites that uses popular templates. Ecowitt would need to switch to the new WU API but that requires the user to have their own API key. Also the new WU API is limited and does not have all the features of the old one.

I wonder why my GW1000 will not report to WU but my Ecowitt WH2320E will via the app.

My GW1000 is reporting to WU just fine. No missing data.
https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KFLWINTE861

My GW1000 is on firmware 1.4.6 and I'm holding off upgrade to 1.4.7 as I don't like to be an early firmware adopter, especially for device that don't let you go backwards on version.

Dear all, the alerts functions on the ecowitt.net are available for all the sensors(especially the multi-channel temp&humidity/soil moisture/PM2.5 sensors) now!!
Please have a try and let us know your thought~

Plus, we have updated the Android WS View APP to fix the WU Dashboard displaying issue! The data should be as stable as the WU now.
The IOS version might be available tomorrow.

A few things to note while setting it up..

WS68: There's a rubber seal that surrounds the solar/UV box and the top of the battery compartment - it's hanging out where the battery cover slides up, it seems it has stretched so it won't create a seal when the battery cover goes back on.

WH40: Mine has a flawed design. I mounted it using U-bolts on a stainless steel pole. The pole was absolutely bang on level vertically on all sides, and the top horizontally. I sat the rain gauge on top without the U-bolts tightened, and the bubble level is 100% centered. As soon as you tighten the U-bolts it pulls a metal plate in, flush with the side of the rain gauge mount. The trouble with that is, the rain gauge mount isn't straight, there's a slight slope to it, so as the plate moves in, the rain gauge begins to tilts backwards which puts it completely out of level. I had to wrap some tape around the pole to thicken the area where the plate pulls in to, and extra 3/4 of inch to be exact. This allowed the U-bolts to tighten without tilting the rain gauge.

WH41: I took the cover off to put the batteries in, but I see no seal around the cover or the main unit. I have no idea how it will stay dry inside of it, rain will 100% make it's way in there eventually.

Lastly, the signal is extremely poor. My console is around 40' away, with two thin walls in between and I have zero signal from the anemometer/solar/uv. No signal for the outside temp/humidity. Very little signal from the rain gauge and it will not even pick up the moisture and PM 2.5 sensors and they are the closest ones to the console.

Slightly disappointed is an understatement.

I had to move the console to a closer area which is rather inconvenient as I am unable to view it when i'm in my lounge. Eventually, I lost complete contact with all sensors (dashed out) so now I have it in my porch, about 20' from all sensors.

I'm a little surprised on how bad the reception is not to be able to view it in another room. I've never encountered that with any weather station i've owned.

I have set up the GW1000. All but one sensor gets picked up. I have a secondary temp/humidity sensor which I want in another room, but I cannot view the data from the app as the GW1000 will not pick up on it. I even have the sensor right next to the GW100, so I am out of ideas!

Not going too well..  :-|
