Vantage Vue barometer flatline
« on: November 25, 2018, 07:54:46 PM »
Well, it's done it again my vantage vue barometer flatlined again even after a Davis fix. Anyone else seen this? The barometer reading is showing on the vue so it shouldn't be a weather display problem.

I have had this happen twice in the last 6 months on my VP2. What is the Davis fix you speak of?

Well, they changed out the pcba board but obviously, that's not it. Let me ask what software are you using to upload to your computer if that's what you are doing.

I had the barometer in a VUE console malfunction. It did not flatline however. It 'shifted' values by a significant amount like an offset. I finally tired of this and replaced the VUE. It currently serves to collect data from the local Marina VP2. I disabled the miscreant barometer by desoldering it from the PCB. This results in all dashes and no data via the dongle and meteohub. Since the barometer would be about 2000 ft from the Marina, I deemed it to be unneeded anyways.

I'm using Cumulus but the console itself is also showing that it is flat lining.
Happening again this weekend.  :???:
