Hi All,
Yesterday received my new Ecowitt station to replace a failed WMR200. (Ecowitt HP2553 setup).  Have been running the WMR 200 into Weather Display for 12 years.

The station seems to be working, and sending data to Ecowitt.net.  And I have set the API, Application and MAC details in Weather Display.
WD is receiving some data according to the Data Received counter which is incrementing but nothing is changing in Weather Display, nor is it matching Ecowitt.net data.  It seems to be "locked" to the values when I first switched the stations in WD.

Clearly I'm missing something.  Any ideas?

(I have a GW1100 on the way too, but its a week or so out still)

EDIT : Restarted WD a few times, updated to latest build, and now it's picked up new data, but is still frozen on that data.  I also reliably shuts down after 5 mins or so...and is telling its raining 10mmm per hour via the warning email after start up .... hmmmmm.  I think I broke something.

Thanks for any assistance!

Cheers
Tim

I have never tested the data retrieval from ecowitt.net via the Ecowitt cloud API by WD.
I'm using a GW1000/GW1100/GW2000 with WD which meanwhile works properly with all available sensors from Ecowitt.
I suggest you wait for your GW1100 to arrive and connect it to WD (or vice versa  ;) ).  8-)

Of course the other approach should also work, and if you want to be a tester for it, I'm sure Brian will be grateful.

The GW1x00/GW2000 connection is more accurate in the sense that you will get +/- realtime data - whereas the cloud data will be updated in minimum 5 minute intervals. The driver is pulling the information from the Ecowitt Gateway API (old name GW1000 API) every 5-10 seconds.

Thanks for the reply!
I have gone around a few options this afternoon and, with Brian's help via email, resolved the issue.
The shutdown was being caused by the option to reboot or restart WD if no data was received.  (Setup > Advanced/Misc Settings > Program) ....  I had that option activated ever since a long time ago!

As for why the data wasn't coming through from ecowitt.net, that seemed to be caused by my VPN.  Adding ecowitt.net as a bypass to the VPN seemed to solve that  [tup]

So, at this stage, all up and running.  When the GW1100 arrives, I'll set that up as the main data gateway for WD.
Need some rain now to calibrate against my trusty manual gauge.

Hope the above info helps someone else too!
