WD vs console rain amount
« on: July 27, 2018, 12:47:27 AM »
Hi folks, i have the envoy  hooked up to wd and wd says 14.4mm, yet the Davis console is saying 15.6mm, whats that all about? btw, manual 4" gauge says 14mm

EDIT (asked the mods to move it to WD now)

Its now a WD issue as i have opened up weatherlink and both the envoy and the console say 15.8mm (its gone up, had another wee shower) yet WD only says 15mm, no offsets in WD for the rain so im a bit baffled

Are the console and Envoy set to the same exact time? I have seen this problem when the rain event crossed local midnight and my 3 consoles were not synced to the same time.

Hi, the rain started this morning, (after midnight) both the console and the envoy are saying the same now (I checked with Weatherlink)  so it looks like wd missed it and it could be cause wd reboots at 6am I think it is, the rain was very heavy so I bet duri g the reboot about 1mm dropped and for some reason wd didn't grab it from the logger, that all makes sense now...
Kind regards
