Title: CWOP Data quality page shot?
Post by: SoMDWx on April 05, 2018, 12:59:01 PM
I tired looking at my barometric errors the other day compared to other statinos and it appears the site has been down for some time. My APRS app is still sedning data up to APRS just fine, however CWOP is habing issues with the data quality pages... Has anyone else having similar issues?

Yes it definitely seems something has failed in Gladstones system again.

Looking at the Daily Weather Charts page also reveals something with the archived calendars also. Dates are missing and the data cannot be seen for the dates that remain at least on my CWOP Daily Charts Page.

Wish we could say we live in a perfect electronics world but we are far from it and probably always will be. At least in my lifetime!

Philip Gladstone does this on his own time and on his own dime to help us visualize the QC data.  He doesn't do the QC so you'll have to be patient until he gets his new web site working well again.

 Thanks for pointing this out Jim as a lot of people are unaware of Mr. Gladstones contributions in providing and displaying our QC graphs & that the QC is done by MADIS.

Mr Gladstones dedication, time and full efforts into his sites & work are very, very much appreciated by all of us that know this.

These Hiccups are expected from time to time and are taken with a grain of salt by most of us.

But for some, they will still question to seek answers as to if anyone else is seeing what they are seeing. I would assume to check with other members to reassure themselves that it's not a problem on their end or out of just plain curiosity.

Don't forget about findU too.
This link is at the top of your CWOP page.

I'm having a problem with the CWOP Quality checker script in that is doesn't update when I change the time span.  It's stuck on 28 days.  Has anyone ever had this problem before?  Thanks in advance for any inputs...

Here is the link to my CWOP quality checker:

Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Very strange.. it may be something that is setting $_GET['span'] = false that is causing the issue.

Try changing cwopstats-inc.php
Code: [Select]
if (isset($_GET['span']) && $_GET['span'] == false) {
to
Code: [Select]
if (false and isset($_GET['span']) && $_GET['span'] == false) {
to disable the override to 28 days.

Ken, thanks for the reply!

I don't seem to have the php file you speak of "cwopstats-inc.php" in my web site directory.  Just wxcwopquality.php

It may be called cwopstats.php and included in wxcwopquality.php

You can always try the v1.1 version of the script from https://saratoga-weather.org/scripts-legacy.php#relayweather

Hi,

I too have noticed discrepancies with the data, but not from the script, on the site itself, some of the readings don't make sense, and checking with airport data confirms this.  As for the script, I do not have the "cwopstats-inc.php"  script, only what was originally available, which in my case is called "cwopstats.php"

I have attached said script for you to check - I have no issues with this script, it conveys exactly what's on the CWOP website, same graphics etc.

Hope this helps anyone with issues.

Thanks, Nick. dw7240.com

EUREKA!!  Thanks guys, you solved the problem for me and I appreciate it.  I needed the two files together.  DUH.

Working like a charm.  [tup]
