Title: New firmware coming for VP1 for DST change
Post by: mhweather on January 19, 2007, 10:10:30 PM
Gonna be a big run on the Updater rentals I guess.....

Hello,

Davis will have a firmware update for the VP1 available before the Daylight Saving time change in March.

Guess all the whining finally did some good. Wonder if they also will add the PC update like the VP2.

I was wondering about that too.  I also wondered if there is a hardwire difference between the VP1 and 2's that would prevent a firmware upgrade from being able to allow that.

I highly doubt it. That would mean they would be creating additional updates in the future, otherwise, such an addition would be useless. We went through hell and high water just to get this simple fix completed. After this I doubt we'll see anything else coming down the pike.

I am in agreement with Racenet.......If it was not for the Daylight Savings Time change, I do not think a firmware upgrade would occur for the Vantage Pro 1..........
