cool "gadgets"

given most of us here in the US are to be given lots of money, are there are cool weather sensors that are reasonably priced i should look at? currently i have a davis vantage pro2

Well, I'm going to be the turd in your punch bowl. I suggest you hold onto it because you'll need it to "help" pay off the gigantic tax increases that is inevitable with the insane spending now and in the near future.

It's not a particularly cheap solution, but don't forget you can always get 5v power for a peripheral from a Davis 6612 solar power box, especially if you live in a sunny location. Probably good for a 50mA average draw, possibly more.
