tx60 frequency?
« on: January 30, 2011, 04:15:49 PM »
I am considering buying the tx60 from the US to use in the UK.

has anyone done this?

does anyone know of any issues with frequencies, import tax or power sockets or supply that may be a problem if I import from the states?

The frequency aspects are that you would be using the wrong band!
For frequency allocations the world is split into three regions see Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Telecommunication_Union_region
the Allocation of 902-918MHz aka 915MHz is for use in the Americas for ISM purposes (Industrial, Scientific & Medical), the equivalent in Europe is 868-870 aka 868MHz.

In Europe 902-918MHz is in use by GSM i.e. Mobile phones for the mobile transmit frequencies, so your likely to suffer interference from any mobiles being used in the vicinity.  Some modules are switchable from one band to another its not clear if the one your looking at can be but in any case it would need a change in the software to enable a change in channel.
