Title: How do I purge data from a WS 2812?

I purchased a used WS 2812 and want to purge the previous data. How do I do that? I tried the factory reset , count down from 127, but that did not work. Also how can I edit the "history.dat" file?

Hi Tom.
 For clearing the data you could try the factory reset (count down from 127) again and this time after that completes remove the console/display batteries for at least 24 hours.
 I'm unaware of a program that will let you edit data (.dat) files but someone may chime in here that does know.
