My webcam has stopped working, when i did receive it was working well.

It is only recognize as a USB20 Camera, I have reinstalled the software and the drivers but nothing works,

Have you tried, using the shorter (1m) cable, reloading the driver software. After the software is done reloading, unplug the USB connection and plug it back in for the computer's device manager to relearn the webcam's presence? I recently had the same thing happen while trying extension cables and losing connectivity.

I have tried everything, I think, also to install it with just standard cable.

but it does not matter what I do for it does just appear as a USB20 camera

When you use the device manager's "scan for hardware changes" and it "sees" the camera unplug/replug change, it still recognizes it as a USB2.0 camera?  When you unplug and plug back in the camera does windows see that and you get the messages and tones acknowledging the changes?

install the software and plug in the cam, don't work

plug in the cam and install the software, don't work.

uninstall both software and hardware and then let windows try to find the drivers, don't work

How about temporarily taking the cam and 1m cable and plugging it in another P.C's USB port just to see if it's recognized?  Then you'll know for sure if it's that P.C./SW or the camera setup.

Hmm, after that suggestion from Dan not working, sounds like something got fried. Is there any warranty avenues you can pursue?

Don't think so, i bought over the internet and it did work in the beginning.

I'm gonna try to remove all the drivers and files installed and see if that helps.  [-o<

I  have read far too many bad reports on the Lifecam series FWIW.  Also, you do know that 10m USB exceeds the limit, right?

Have you considered rolling back your system to a previsous restore point rather than reinstalling drivers, etc.?
