Title: Cold Spot
Post by: KK7X on September 20, 2018, 09:54:17 AM
It appears that I live in a cold and snowy pocket here in my area of North Idaho.  I have 4 outside sensors and they all agree within a few degrees.
However if I look at WU I will see that most stations are as much as 10° higher than what I am reporting.  Even the local airport is normally higher than my station especially in the hours before dawn.  Once the sun rises my temperatures begin to agree with the other local stations.

Of course this raises heck with CWOP which reports a thumbs down on my temperature readings.

Are there other in cold/hot pockets that have notice this phenomenon?
