Title: VP2 remounting
Post by: vinceskahan on February 06, 2018, 09:30:03 PM
Remounted my jan-2009 VP2 (notice the bent 2" PVC after 9 years) on a 20' Harbor Freight extendable flagpole.  Anemometer is at approximately 18 feet now which is making a big difference.   Pole is actually plumb and VP2 is level, and the wires are 40' or more away, so don't let the camera angle and telephoto effect throw you off. Total price, under $55 mounted.  Not bad.

What a big difference that's going to make, 18 foot is a lot better than you had before, good job!...........................

Yep, it will definitely improve things!!!  I would imagine those solid fences were wreaking havoc on the anemometer...wind hitting them and being redirected.  Good move!!!!
