I don't care for it either.  IMO there's too much wasted space with the layout.  On my widescreen monitor, I have about 3" of wasted white space on each side.  Bleh.....

It's a nay for me. I like the old one, if I may say my two cent's worth.

The new look Sucks, the Contrast is very bad, they should offer a Classic Look Option. or I am Gone after working to get my station reporting.

I over looked the link for a classic view, all is well now, but the new one still sucks.

The new style doesn't particularly bother me, but then - I'm not much for change, so another vote for old.

What I'm really miffed about is the loss of older history data. Not sure when that happened (it's the same way on both styles - 2010 is as far back as you can go on the daily reports). I need to go back to 2006 to recover history that was lost by a certain program so I can get my archives into WD. Used to be able to, but no more.

I dunno about that. I just went to my station in classic view, and randomly picked today's month/day in 2004 and daily and monthly data is there.

That's really strange. When I go to mine, the drop-down for the year shows only 2010 and 2011. I copied your URL and changed the ID to mine and did get the history data for 2007, but still with only a two year spread on the drop-down.

I don't like any of you Peoples WU pages but mine is ok even tho I only go there maybe once in a blue moon. I got my own weather station to look at.. I leave WU for the people that haven't yet purchased a weather station..  :-P

Not sure I like it yet; however I tried signing out and looking at ad version and it looks nicer that classic ad version.

How long do you think they will keep "Classic" version around?

As with anything when you get used to a certain look it's hard to change. If Ken were to start using different forum software here tomorrow the result would be about the same. Some would like like it, others not.
What I am trying to say is that 6 months from now we won't even remember what the old WU looked like. It just takes a while to get used to.
By the way, I don't like it either.

The 'classic' style was getting tired. The new style looks better but doesn't make best use of the available space.

Fonts are too small with no way to increase their size. Too much white space between rows of data and I have to use the scroll arrow to see all of my 7 favourite locations.

The width of the pages is set to 800 pixels. It really should be 1024 these days.

But they have no forum for users to discuss things with them. I don't know if they read these pages but they really need a way of engaging with their users without having to raise a ticket.

Later: They have added severe weather warnings for some areas outside of the US. I don't remember seeing these for the UK before so that's a welcome addition. But we still don't see as many advanced features as you guys like the Weather Radar which is still only available in the US.

Thanks for that. I chose Community Chat but it's not a forum, just a chat area. Not really what I was looking for.

I like it.  A fresh new look without being a radical change.
