I just recently received my pilot rating for hot air balloons, and I saw another pilot who had a program on his laptop that used the internet to stream live radar info into the GUI. He could customize the interface, choosing whether to display fronts, wind data, precipitation, lightning strikes, cloud tops at various altitudes, etc. This was powered entirely by an internet connection to some site or service.
I didn't catch the name of the program, and an hour of google searching has returned nothing. You guys seem to be pretty deep into the weather tracking game, so does anybody know a program similar to the one I described?
I need one that has precision on a regional/state or smaller scale. National WX info isn't as helpful. Forecast functionality would be nice, but current/past acitivity is just fine!
Thanks guys!
