Hi,
I have a question regarding the cumulus realtime.txt.
So far everything always worked fine. I used the documentation:
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Realtime.txtto create the script for the updates for Meteotemplate.
Today I received an email from a new user who wanted to use Cumulus and the update was not working. After some testing I found there must be some problem with his realtime.txt. So I asked him to send me an example of one of his files.
When I saw it I immediately spotted the problem. It turns out his realtime.txt looks like this:
04/12/2016 14:29:58 18.5 41 5.01428 0.4 0.4 150.5 12 0 1007.9 SSO 1 m/s C hPa mm 1.11003 0 24 686 0 20.8 56 23.7 4.3 18.7 14:07 8.7 07:12 0.7 14:15 2.5 00:00 1008.9 09:40 1007.1 05:00 1.1.0 001 0.9 17.4761 18.5 0 75 0 1 ONO ft 18.5 0
Notice the first field: 04/12/2016
So far I have always seen date only in this format: DD/MM/YY (eg- 12/04/16)
the only thing that is variable is the separator, but it was always day, followed by month and 2-digit year abbreviation.
His file seems to be like: MM/DD/YYYY
The documentation also says it is always DD/MM/YY, so I wanted to know if there were some changes in the software, in which case I would somehow need to take this into account (probably by having the user select the format, because there is no way of the script being automatically able to distinguish DD/MM and MM/DD).
