Use bearing zero when calm?

(1/2) > >>

Rickoo:
New user here. I've been playing with some of the station settings common options and turned on Use Bearing Zero When Calm. Okay, now I see what that does. However, now it won't turn off? Tried saving, stopping cumulus and re-starting it several times with no luck. How do I turn this back off?

PaulMy:
Hi,
Did you perhaps forget to press [Save] at the bottom.

Mine changes fine if [untick] then [Save], and then back to [tick] [Save].

You can check your Cumulis.ini file for

--- Code: ---UseZeroBearing=1
--- End code ---
or

--- Code: ---UseZeroBearing=0
--- End code ---
with 1 = turned on and 0 = turned off.

Enjoy,
Paul

Rickoo:
Thanks Paul, how do I view the .ini file?

PaulMy:
It is in your \CumulusMX folder \CumulusMX\Cumulus.ini and can be opened by a good text editor.
It has all the settings that you have set through the Dashboard Settings, and will be updated by CMX as you enter new settings and [Save].  It will also be saved whenever you stop CMX, and that will then have current settings for CumulusMX restart.

Some items in Cumulus.ini can be edited by a text editor like Notepad++ and only with CumulusMX stopped, but generally anything that can be done through the Dashboard Editor should be done there to avoid any chance of it being overwritten at a CMX stop.

Enjoy,
Paul

Rickoo:
Thanks for the help. Sorry to be such a pita. lol

btw, I definitely saved after making the change.

So, what would be the command to enter in Putty?
