Topic: I think WU crashed

I'm getting very little when I visit WU

It was acting very oddly earlier. I finally got it to work but they may be experiencing issues.

My WU graphic embedded in my website is not updating and I have to stop the script in order for the page to load. Everything else loads okay except the WU weather graphic.

It looks like WU site is working But the Flash content sent to my browser keep crashing those pages with the rapid fire content..

Same issue here. Almost no information is appearing when I access WU - just the current conditions.

Well it not working again WU really need a page that tell what is the reason why the site is not working.

I just pinged my page on WU and this is where it goes and there was no packet problem.

It really looks like a gradual end of WU... look in the two other threads that just deal with other issues with WU, in one, the WU support basically even recommended not using their service!?

Yeah, I'm having difficulties with both forecast and history pages now.  I hope it's just another glitch.

WU is starting to really piss me off! I have spent half my evening trying to figure out WTH was going on w/ my PC, rolling back Nvidia drivers, and flash player trying to TS the problem only to find out WU effed us again! They have been crap ever since TWC took them over!

I tried to eliminate using WU in my template as much as possible and Brian is doing the same thing with his PWS, I think they are pissing more and more ppl off and that answer from that guy from WU, saying it might take weeks because of how busy they are, makes me wonder, what are the priorities then? If updates, history and forecast is not working?!

I just loaded Explorer 8 on the computer that run the weather software and WU works the pages are the old graphic and it tell me that Explorer 8 is no longer supported. Won't let me log in and its telling me that favorites don't work due to high site load.

Do you think that WU is just DOS is the reason it doesn't work to many people hitting the site. As it was working at 5:00am Eastern

My guess would be that their cyber team my have locked something down trying to close a vulnerability and ended up breaking something on their web sever.

I just posted over on the https://www.facebook.com/wunderground/ page asking why the web site is not working correctly. I wonder if they will post it. As they have to look it over before they post..

My experience with posting on WU FB profile:
they will keep on posting stuff about weather all around the world, actively watching the FB profile and completely ignoring any user comments (and it did not happen once)

I guess the idea is to wake someone up. So it just doesn't matter if it don't get posted..

I tried several times in the past and it just makes you feel like there is no point in bothering.... sadly the only time someone ever got back to me from WU was when Ken, who knows someone from WU personally, stepped in. And it was even when I for example suggested corrections of absolutely incorrect and misleading Czech translation.

Seeing the same issue on my site as well. Page tries to load, but then a popup appears and tells me a script is taking too long to load and it freezes the page unless I stop it from loading. Hope they fix the issue soon as (like many others) we are expecting some extreme winter weather (extreme cold, snow, wind, ice, etc) over the next few days here in Western Maine!
