My own worst enemy?
« on: October 30, 2015, 01:48:30 PM »
Well, the "duh" is all over me. A few days ago the total rain amount started hanging up at 50" and today it's raining down there and it went to zero and at 6am this morning I started into it. I spent 6 hours going through the bin files time and time again and nothing worked to change it. The hourly, daily and monthly amounts worked just fine, but not the total. I dug into the main db, reinstalled VWS and one red flag kept popping up but it didn't sink in - in the bin files I was getting a negative rain amount in the MIN column?

Finally I started back down through the Calibration and Range files and there it was Rain Range 0-50". The annual rain in MX is 31.5" and for some reason 8 years ago I set the range to 50", don't know why but of course when I set it up to 60" the problem magically disappeared and it only took me 6 hours to find my self inflicted wound? Time for a shot or two of tequila to celebrate my stupidity.
