Ambient WS-2000 vs. WS-8478A
« on: March 13, 2019, 05:01:06 PM »
Hi.  I am trying to decide between these two stations.  I've looked over the specs and comparisons for them and it seems like each of them do some things better than the other.  It seems like the WS-2000 is more popular on this forum.  I would go with the WS-2000 without even considering the other one were it not for my already having an WS-8482 with three sensors.  It's my understanding that the sensors that come with the WS-8482 will work with the WS-8478A, but not the WS-2000.  So my question is, is it worth it to get the WS8478A over the WS-2000 because I already have sensors that will work with it?  I like that the WS-8478A has the solar radiation sensor (I live in Colorado), but like I said, most people seem to prefer the WS2000.

Thanks

The extra sensors are cheap. Not a good reason to go with the WS-8478A. I would go with the WS-2000 and get the extra sensors you need for that.
