Washing line/weather station
« on: September 09, 2019, 03:33:45 PM »
I did not want to place weather station near border fence for fear of false readings so i came up with this idea!!

Inch and a half galvanized pipe buried in concrete 3ft underground and 3ft above ground

Inch and a quarter plastic pipe with piece of galvanized pipe "sweated" into it and weather station clamped on

Washing line placed over test piece of galvanized pipe, perfect fit

Cut top of line and placed plastic pipe through. The line turns but plastic pipe is stationary.

Pipe bolted to clothes line

Nice.  But I expect you may see an increase in humidity as your clothes dry.

You're lucky.  My HOA forbids clothes lines.
