I really think that they should pass a law that ANY political advertising should have to be reviewed by a bi-partisan panel that decides if the add is truthful.  The outright lies and half truths just make me want to puke.
Agreed, or, at the very least, allow ads only from the candidates. At least that would cut down on the junk a bit.

That is one I wish I could vote None of the above.
Maybe put it on the write-in line. At least you'd get to make it known.

God bless the DVR. =D>
Yep. Most of what I watch is recorded first. Had to get away from the major networks because the clutter got so bad. Then discovered I was outsmarted because HGTV started running ads for the AZ contests. Won't be watching them any more.

Good of you to give it a try.

p.s. for the poll I selected I Do Not Vote so I could see the result but now can't remove it :(   However I am a 100% voter and an informed citizen where and when I CAN vote and have used the advance poll several timers.

Enjoy the freedom,
Paul

I can't change your poll choice but I fixed it by renaming it. You have your own category now.

Got to my local polling place before 7AM and it was already pretty busy. Luckily, no line when I got inside. By the time I left, a line had already started to form. If the past is any indication, I'm sure it'll be busy this evening.

I voted this morning along with the wife.

The guy in front of us had trouble with his sheet being scanned in. It turns out that he was at the wrong scanner for Pct 2, we were Pct 1. It actually caught it and rejected the sheet. He found his way to the correct place afterwards.

I've got DISH with a DVR and I tape everything and watch it later so I can skip through commercials etc. I've not seen a live commercial/ad/whatever for several years - it's nice!

Amen! I've even gotten to the point I record live sporting events, I hate commercials so bad....especially like now, leading up to mid-terms, general's garbage. Phffft, Super Bowl commercials ain't even worth watching anymore.

It took me three tries, but I finally managed to vote.  I live about 1/2 mile away from the polling location, but there was a monster rain cloud hanging over that building all morning.  I almost wished that I had put a rain gauge over there, because it was surely ark-worthy.

Since the governor is up for re-election here in New York, the parking lot at the polls was full even in the rain.....

I got a note from a friend yesterday saying "the night before the mid term election is like a combination Christmas eve and colonoscopy combined". Having been through it - I agree.

Unfortunately, Santa's GLOVES are WAY bigger than the GLOVES a proctologist wears (wink, wink)!
