FireFox and JQuery - problems
« on: October 30, 2019, 11:33:53 AM »

IMPORTANT !

the beteljuice has only just discovered that if you run a 'secure' https:// site then whatever JQuery library you use must also use  https://

Otherwise FF blocks the download as "mixed active content"

Time to check all your old pages !  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

There's a handy trick you can use to automatically address those issues.
Instead of https:// or http:// in URLs in the page, just use // -- the 'scheme' of http or https will be inserted by the browser based on what was used to load the primary page.

Thanks Ken ....

I can't say I've noticed it "in the wild" - why isn't everyone using it ?

Some of us download jQuery and put it on our own server, so it's not an issue...
