How to set up custom FTP archive export
« on: August 05, 2019, 04:59:08 PM »
I have a new wifilogger, firmware version 2.16, and I am successfully exporting current data using the Custom Export page, to send realtime.txt and wflexp.json files to a linux server.

I haven't been able to make the "FTP archive export settings" do anything. I'm using the same ftp server, port, username and password.
I've put "1" in Days, and "/archive" in the full path. /archive does exist and it is a writable directory.
Clicking on "Test" doesn't seem to do anything, and /archive remains empty.

Is anyone using this feature? Any idea what I'm doing wrong, and what it does when working correctly?
Thanks

Now I see! I had to give a complete filename, not just a directory.

I have the same question (of many).

As the above post, I see no result from the 'test' and no documentation.

By filename, would [ current\current.txt ] work in the folder path field for FTP current data export settings?

How does it handle multiple files then, overwriting them or adding some suffix/prefix? For the archive there's the '"FTP file settings' box, which seems to set - maybe? - the file naming, or is that just the data in the file?

Same question for 'FTP archive export settings',
with [ archive\archive.csv ] as the tested with no result setting (also tried at first just a folder name).

What I want to figure out on a broader scope is how to export VP2 data to my FTP to archive permanently long term (years, decades) and, if I can figure it out, use in a display program.
