Gas hit bottom on Tuesday at $2.69 here. Now 2 days after the election we jump $0.30 to $2.99.  #-o

No surprise here.  I stuffed my pickup to the gills with $3.65 diesel on Tuesday morning, knowing for a fact that the prices would be going back to normal the moment that the polls closed on Tuesday evening.....

$2.89 here in KY. (until after the election???)

Interesting.  Hit bottom for us about three weeks ago at that same price, then jumped up 15 cents to 2.84.  Now it's back to about 2.79

But in Tulsa, that's how it rolls.  It jumps up in increments of 5 or 10 cents (usually 10 and very occasionally, like last time, 15 cents).  Then it decreases a penny at a time, sometimes 2.

OPEC in the news today, still cutting prices, so who knows.

Stations will jack it up a bit to screw the Holiday travelers though.

I've been to the Rosebud Reservation casino. The noise you hear as you enter is a huge vacuum sucking money out of your pockets. When I was a road salesman I collected pins from everywhere I went and my wife made jean jackets with them, there's a pin from that casino - and a whole bunch more. The jackets weigh about 10lbs each.

Thats funny " huge vacuum sucking money out ". I think all casinos are like that. My son and I went in with 20$ each and I was cleaned out in about an hour after being up $60, but he ended up plus $78. Then we left unlike many who keep going.

Try living in Oklahoma.  The Cherokee Nation Casino just East of Tulsa (which for all intents and purposes is now Hard Rock Tulsa), three Osage Nation casinos and a Creek Nation casino are all in Tulsa County.  In the entire state of Oklahoma there are 99 casinos that are owned by 30 different tribes.

Ok, I'm curious, why the big discounts with a company credit card vs. cash or bank debit card? Everyone is pushing their credit cards like crazy? I've been out of the country for 7 years, but I don't remember it like this when I left. Are they assuming you'll run up a balance they can gouge you interest for?

Bingo!  We have a winner!!  http://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/credit-card-data/average-credit-card-debt-household/  And it gets even more depressing when you see how many only make the minimum payment.  They could give the gas away and probably still make money.

Yeah but that also means he's spent a bit to earn the 60-70 cents off, of course if he's got a large enough family it probably doesn't take much to build up like that.

Cheapest I've seen in my area is around $2.55 but it looks like it is still dropping.

It was $2.55 without the discount, I believe.  Thanksgiving shopping racked up a lot of discount points.  I'll probably not see it that cheap again for a while (if ever).
