A Mexican Plum Tree.  I looked it up using an app I have. You just take a picture and it goes through a database to determine what it is.
I have never seen any fruit on it though but it's always the first tree in the yard to flower.

Ah, very pretty! When we moved from PIT to CLE, my mom made my dad plant a dogwood in the front yard, and he did. It was so beautiful in full bloom. My mom loved it. I guess I did too..
