I just recently switched uploading my PWS data from Weather Underground to PWSweather.com. I am looking for a way to access my PWS data on my Android phone. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
Sincerely,
Jack

You can access your page from their website. It is optimized for mobile viewing.
I was told earlier this year that an app is in the works but no timetable for release.

The website is undergoing a major rebuild at this time and is expected to be available later this year. Part of the redesign is to make it as mobile friendly as possible.

Can you tell us if with the new website what the optimal minute upload interval should be?
The reason I ask this is because with the current website the graphs don't have very high resolution. I've tested uploading at 1 minute, 5 minute, and 10 minute and 20 minute. What I noticed is that with anything lower than 10 minutes the graphs are just so compact and and they are not really legible (especially the Wind graph). They look like crayon scribble on a page. So I currently upload at 10 minute intervals to have the most amount of detail with the current graphs.
.....BUT.....If the new website has better resolution graphs then maybe I may be willing to switch now to a higher interval (maybe 5 minutes...or maybe even 1 minute) and then the data will be there and ready to take advantage of the new website when it is ready later this year.....so I'll be then able to look at historical data and see the added detail.
I never understood why people uploaded with such high intervals with the current graphs.....I mean unless they really like looking at the number charts.....I prefer graphs.

Does anyone know the status of the website redesign?
In early February I sent this question in a PM to weatherforyou but didn't receive a reply.

Sorry I missed your PM. Between moving 1300 miles and starting a new job right after being in the hospital the year has gotten off to a busy start.
The new PWSweather.com is progressing. I had a meeting with the developers the middle of January to go over what features had already been added and what else needed to be done to bring it public. They also wanted my take on what reactions the community would have about certain changes. I can say it already has new features, improvements and bug fixes. I can't give out all the details because I don't want to say something is going to be there and then find there's a technical reason it can't be. They haven't given any dates but it is being actively worked on.

Thanks for the update, and if there is any testing to be done you know there are lots of folks here willing ;)
Enjoy,
Paul

As you finalize the new PWSweather, please take note of what not to do as what Weather Underground recently did with their new website which was atrocious.
Lessons learned:
- No wasted space.
- Mobile friendly shouldn't mean terrible desktop experience with tons of scrolling. Fit recent observations in one screenshot.
- Don't remove functionality
- Eye candy graphics doesn't make a better experience
- Test, Test and retest and don't rush to go live
- data accuracy and precision both matter

This so true! Specially - Eye candy graphics doesn't make a better experience

Is there a new update as to the status of the rewrite on the web site?????? :-)

A couple new developers were hired by Aeris to help move this along faster. I was sent some of the preliminary "wireframe" layouts of the new site for my input. It's looking very good. So it is progressing at a slightly better pace now.

Let us know if you need beta testers or design feedback. Happy to help.
Thank you for the update.
