CumulusMX does a daily backup of all the current data and .ini files at midnight rollover, and saves the last 10 backups.  Check the CumulusMX\backup folder.
It also does a same backup each time Cumulus is stopped, again saving the last 10.
The \CumulusMX\Records are not included in those backups.

As these backups are not beyond 10 days you should also do your own regular backup of your files and folders.

Enjoy,
Paul

I preach better than practice
I have used FBackup for several years, doing a scheduled daily, weekly and monthly.

Enjoy,
Paul

you could use rsync on the pi to backup and put it elsewhere.

Personally I would backup the whole CumulusMX folder (which includes the backups) to some device on the Network or USB.  rsync is a good and well proven backup application, or you just "copy" the CumulusMX folder to another device using the copy command (cp) and set it up in crontab as a schedule
