Recommendations for a car vacuum
« on: May 31, 2025, 05:32:52 PM »
Over the  years I've bought or been gifted numerous small vacuums targeted to vacuum floor mats and other spots in cars.

Most, to say the least, before the advent of really good batteries made more noise than suction and ended up at Goodwill or tossed.

The best so far has been a nice canister 120v model which has been a house vacuum.  But with age and advancing hand and knee arthritis, getting it hauled out into the garage and getting into all the crevices, has become a challenge.  I feel bad giving a ride with the sand and dog hair on the floor, say nothing about not keeping the car clean.

Does anyone have experience with and can recommend what they use, or would like to have to  use if it were a nice gift?

It can be corded, and as a matter of fact may give a lot more horsepower and therefore suction if it were corded.  A proven cordless/battery one is still an option.
I think it  should have a flexible hose to be easier to maneuver especially under the dash up by the brake and footfeed. The all  in one types I had were bulky and helped me invent a few  new words that even my old farmer uncle hadn't come up with.

So with the vast expertise of the ChitChat subject group readers, I'm hoping for some sage advice.  Thx. Dale

They employ people 1/4 my age to do that, and can do more hungover than I can do after a night's rest.....

Sounds like a job for the grand/great-grand children to earn some pocket money

The FleaBay listing is just the first hit for the model. But I have one of these. Long cord, good suction, power head for big surfaces, with a crevice wand.

That listing is missing the hose.......but look for it retail
