I check in most days and a 'quick jump' button to 'recent posts' would be a nice addition

What's wrong with 'Show unread posts since last visit'? Shows all posts that have been updated or are new.

Or the Alll Unread Topics button at bottom right.

Also, for me, I saved a link to "My Posts" in my browser. That way I can get quick to a subscribed thread, even if there are no new replies.
