MesoWest Question

Why am I seeing these "caution" notations? Anything to be concerned with?

I hope I have this question in the right place. Thanks.

If you report packets to CWOP, but your data does not pass muster on all the wind/temp do they not post on MesoWest?

Thanks,

You'll see a yellow "Caution" as depicted above, but that's through Meso. CWOP themselves doesn't do any QC. They just muster the PWS's.

How do I get my data listed on MesoWest?  I imagine that is something separate from CWOP.

Do you have a MADIS ID?

AV480 is the number the CWOP folks gave me.  Not sure if that is the same or something different.

I'm assuming that's your ham ID. MADIS ID is like my "handle" or whatever it's called. C2274 is the actual station ID, but the station "name" is CW2274.

All this was done for me by my WFO years ago, so I'm not sure how to "get there".

Here's the CWOP site. Maybe you can glean info, if not, someone else will show you the way.

That is the CWOP site.  I am signed up with them.  Maybe I am confused.  Is all the registered CWOP user's data passed to MesoWest, or is that a separate sign up?

Yeah, like I said, it was all done for me so I'm pretty clueless. Guarantee someone else will know.

You are on mesowest automatically

You have a different call name than I've seen before.

Found you here:

Nice find Randy! Concur on the ID, it looks more like a "government" ID like a RAWS or flood monitor station.

There is a mistake.  AV472 is in Montana.  This error was made a couple of years ago with the CWOP folks.  It was fixed on CWOP's end, but it is wrong on this site.  My correct number for my station is AV480.  Who can fix this?

Check KQ6UP http://www.wxqa.com/states/CA.html then click on the second 480.  It goes to mesoWest but site not found.

As for your data it should provided through APRSWXNET/Citizen Weather Observer Program automatically (at least for me it came in automatically). I sign up (about 2 months ago) for an account with Mesowest so I can download historical data.  It was the same for MADIS.

If this isn't your location fill out the correction on Gladstonefamily pointing to the correct location.

This was already fixed on the CWOP side.  They had our data reversed.  Montana WX was showing up under my CWOP site, and California WX was showing up on his site.  They fixed it, but it is still screwed up in MesoWest.

This is the Montana station:

Look at the "AV" number on the image attached.

Noticed it's getting flagged on temperature. Others near 90f and this station is reporting 60 or so.

Yeah... he's got HUGE problems...and not just temp.

https://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/regress_database_top.cgi?stn=AV472

That is WX in Montana.  Not from my station, and not my error.
Yes, I removed it after I observed the error. I'd go to Meso contact first. Who knows if Gladstone is even home.

Gladstone was fixed a LONG time ago.
