Multiple WH57 lightning sensors
« on: January 28, 2023, 08:40:21 PM »
Is it possible to update the console firmware to see multiple WH57 lightning sensors individually ?

No.  And I would like to ask why you would ever need that, since all the sensors would report the same strikes (in theory) since they have to be in range of the console.
Ambient Consoles: WS-2000, WS-1900, WS-1200, WS-2902C, WS-3000-X3, WS-0900-IP(observerIP), WS-1001-WIFI

So you can compare the preformance of each lightning sensor . The one I have currently got has not registered any lightning strikes
and we had a few today

Got some lightning detections with all switches in the down position (or default position ) just need ro fine tune now .
Lightning strike just as I was setting up weather display which made lightning sound ( give me a hell of a fright )

If you search the forum for WH57 accuracy, issues, etc..

You will find a ton of posts on the unit. In my experience with the one I have, it works, it detects, that is about all I can say.

I would not consider this a precision sensor, and personal experiences vary wildly from false strikes to not registering strikes if you search as mentioned above, I may be lucky , not only with the unit , but maybe my geographic location lends itself better for the sensor.

Interesting that you are considering buying a 2nd one

My initial setup the wh57 didn’t work   ](*,) so I did some reading at set things to default and waited for the next lot of lightning . It certainly works
I might take the sensitivity up to the next level and see what happens
