Weewx and GW1000
« on: August 16, 2020, 05:19:35 PM »
I’m configuring Weewx to get data from my GW1000 on my pi and i’m following these instructions: https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/gw1000-recipe but I can’t figure out where and how to edit the Interceptor settings in weewx.conf! Help!

Just curious, did you look at this link? https://github.com/gjr80/weewx-gw1000

You could also post your question over @ https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/weewx-user

I am right there with you lol, but I think I at least made progress today using the new GW1000 API driver.   I just posted some pics which makes me think I am good, but I am waiting for someone to give me a thumbs up.

Is there a reason you are choosing to use the Interceptor driver instead of the new API driver?   I have tried to install both and had issues, but when I read that nobody was updating the Interceptor driver anymore and the new API driver was the way to go, that is what I focused on.

I know there are some cases where the API driver is not the best choice, but if that is not the case, I would focus on the API driver posted above.  After a few tries I think I got it installed correctly and I didn't even have a clue what a Raspberry Pi was 2 weeks ago lol.

I went to the weewx forum and it got recommended to me so i’m going to try to set it up now, probably tomorrow instead of the interceptor!

I was one of the beta testers for this extension. I believe that all the bugs have now been found and I would recommend using it.
