Title: Emulator to Run Raspberry Pi Desktop on macOS
Post by: MacGarage on November 03, 2018, 10:54:28 AM
It is possible to run a Raspberry emulator to run Acuparse on a Mac? I have a spare Mac Mini that used to run UnderTheWX (great program!) for my 5-1 and was wanting to put it back into service.

You don't need a Raspberry Pi emulator. All you need is a Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) operating system to be running. There are two ways to do this. You could use your Mac Mini and natively install Linux (dual boot or standalone) or you could install VirtualBox in macOS and then set up a Linux VM inside that.

The Raspberry Pi is just a Linux computer. Acuparse is supported on Debian and Ubuntu Linux flavors, so it doesn't need to be a Raspberry Pi.
