Here's the process...

Compare the VP2 Specs at
https://www.davisinstruments.com/vantage-pro2/tech-specs/
With whatever else you're considering.

Then ask Santa what he can do.

Are you narrowing down what station you going to get?
What you thinking of getting?

I started out only knowing that Davis was considered the best. Then I looked at all the models. The 6163 Vantage Pro2 Plus was the most expensive model and had the most options. So I figured it had to be the best. So I ordered the 6163. I added the Davis WeatherLink Live 6100 and a Meteobridge Pro Red. That was last August. In hindsight I certainly could have made much less expensive choices, but I couldn't have made better choices.

I think You'll be very satisfied with the Davis Vantage Pro-2

It's very stable, works consistently well, and compared to other weather stations in this price range decently accurate.....

Good luck with your choice!!

I encountered an aging Davis Weather Monitor when I started at the university I used to work for. I studied other weather stations and everything pointed at the Vantage Pro 2 Plus giving the best value versus features along with accuracy. Well this led me to buying one for me to replace my aging OS WMR968 at home. It is an expensive station but the quality can't be beat.
