Topic: Ecowitt shipment time

I ordered an Ecowitt station from them directly more than a week ago. It shipped, but seems to be sitting in the state "departed Dongguan, China."

Do they ship by boat and taking four weeks?

I get my stuff usually in 2-3 weeks. But I don't live in Az or Ca where I think there is a mandatory delay

At DongGuan the shipments usually undergo amongst other things certain processing steps like desinfection etc. due to COVID-19 -

your provider may not be 4PX (China Post) but Fedex or Yun or ... - but the routing is +/- the same. Depending on the primary provider your shipment may take some "funny" routing inside the U.S. before arriving in your state.

From Ecowitt to the Netherlands using Yun(track) is about 10 days. Sometimes it doesn't show any updates (for 5 days) untill it is in the Luxemburg hub. Then it suddenly is delivered in 5 days.

Just be patient  . I know that's difficult.

if you mean by "additional indoor Ambient temp sensor" an 8-multi-channel extra temperature / humidity sensor (WH31 family* - see https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40730.0), then you have to select a channel for this sensor with the DIP switches inside the battery compartment - and of course insert the batteries  . Depending on which Ecowitt station (station = console plus sensors) you ordered (couldn't see that in your post), your EW console would find it automatically and you would see it either on the display screen if it's a HP2551 console (see same thread, HP2551 section) with the proper settings made/button pressed, or, if it's a GW1100, in the WS View Plus app under live data (multi CH T/H sensor tab) and the sensorIDs section under "More".

there the "old" WS View app is shown - the WS View Plus app is differently structured, but shows the same information.
The GW1100 and the GW2000 consoles/gateways/hubs can also be viewed in their WebUI (http://IP-address-of-the-console --> see your router ...) once you have it connected to your local network.

*) A WH31 family sensor is an extra temperature/humidity sensor. Where you use it (indoor/outdoor/underground/probe submersed ...) is your choice. Their use is not limited to indoor. If you use it outdoor, depending on the location, some protection against the elements is recommended.

The weather station is the HP2561C. The Ambient sensor is a WH25B.

OK - the WH25B is the pre-decessor of the WH32B - in a HP2561 console it cannot be registered under the T&HP name as the HP2561 has already an inbuilt T/H/P sensor. Only a HP2551 console could register it. (see  https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40730.0) HP2551 console section. HP2551 and HP2561 are for practical purposes identical, except for the fact that a HP2551 has/needs a separate WH32B sensor for indoor T/H/P (WH32B or also the legacy WH25B). But there's no need for an extra WH32B/WH25B for a HP2561 console - in usual use cases. The Ambient WS-2000/WS-5000 consoles are a HP2551 clone with some modified firmware.

You could still use a WH31 extra T/H sensor and display that one for indoor T/H (either fixed or cycling) in the right portion of the console display.
You can choose your own name - e.g. "Indoor kitchen".
Pressure will be displayed anyway separately.
